There is nothing more important, after health, than your child’s education. Yet concerns have been raised by parents,  teachers and students around the country about the new primary and secondary Curriculums, which take a radical approach to the teaching of topics such as gender, climate, racism, etc with no opportunity to opt out due to the cross curricular approach.  

These changes have prompted questions among some parents and teachers about age appropriateness, parental involvement, the distinction between education and advocacy, and who should ultimately decide how sensitive social and ethical questions are introduced to children.

Many parents believe particular subjects should remain primarily matters for families. Others want greater transparency about exactly what will be taught, at what age, and what choices parents will have.

It’s time for an informed public conversation.

This conference will bring together parents, teachers, educators and other contributors to examine the new curriculum, separate fact from speculation, and ask the questions that matter:

❓ What will children be taught?
❓ Who decides?
❓ What role do parents have?
❓ What can parents do if they have concerns?

With its historic character and welcoming atmosphere, Frybrook House offers the perfect backdrop for connecting with others, sharing ideas and enjoying a memorable event.


Shoes: Due to the recent restoration, this is a shoes - off house - please bring slippers, flip flops or a pair of comfortable socks.

Free Parking: Boles car park. Turn right at Lovage (not straight ahead for Frybrook) and go down the alley way. The car park is immediately on the left.
